FAQs
How do I get to Gili Air?
You can reach Gili Air by fast boat from Bali (most commonly from Padang Bai or Serangan), or via Lombok. From Lombok, it’s a short drive from the airport or harbor to Bangsal, followed by a 15-minute boat ride across to the island. We’ll happily help coordinate the best route for you.
How do I get around the island?
There are no motorised vehicles on Gili Air, which is part of its charm. Most people walk, ride bicycles, or take a horse-drawn cart known as a cidomo. We recommend renting a bike to explore the island at your own pace.
What is there to do on Gili Air?
Gili Air is perfect for snorkelling, diving, and taking boat trips to the nearby islands of Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. You’ll also find yoga studios, beach clubs, live music, and dreamy sunset spots. Whether you’re after relaxation or adventure, there’s something here for everyone.
Are there places to eat and shop nearby?
Absolutely! The island has plenty of cafés, beachside restaurants, and warungs (local eateries), many within walking distance of our villa. You’ll also find a few mini-marts, boutiques, and beach vendors for snacks and souvenirs.
Is there access to cash and card payments?
Yes—there are a few ATMs on the island where you can withdraw cash. Most restaurants and businesses now accept credit and debit cards, but it’s always a good idea to carry some cash just in case.
